Robert Shultz, DO, FACOI
Robert Shultz, D.O.,F.A.C.O.I., is a 1984 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his rotating internship and internal medicine residencyat Normandy Osteopathic Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri (1984-1986). He completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (1986-1988). During his osteopathic GI fellowship training Dr. Shultz served as a visiting fellow at several prestigious medical centers including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Washington University, and the University of Michigan Medical Centers. Dr. Shultz is Board Certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Shultz served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Credentials Committee for Orlando General Hospital. He has served as Medical Staff Secretary, Assistant Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff at AdventHealth East Orlando. Dr. Shultz served as vice-chairman and then chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Oviedo Medical Center (2017-2022).
Dr. Shultz has provided one 4,000 hour of mentoring osteopathic physicians in training and presented over 200 lectures on the local, state and national levels. He has acted as course director for several national GI conferences.
Dr.Shultz has been honored with Patient Recognition Awards, including:
- Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award - 5 Year Honoree recognizes doctors with the highest scores in bedside manner for five consecutive years. This honor is granted to a few distinct doctors in the United States based on experiences shared by patients.
- The Patients' Choice Award - 5 Year Honoree is a recognition granted only to those doctors whose ratings have reflected excellence in care for five years in a row. Only 1% of all doctors in the United States are bestowed this honor by their patients.

Dr. Shultz and his wife Karla have six children. He enjoys music, SCUBA diving, and fishing. He is in private practice in Orlando.
